This metasite will link to a host of web sites that contain tremendous
information about the Titanic. It is a condensed version of just
some of the great sites that pertain to the Titanic. Most of the
sites listed here contain information related to many aspects of the Titanic
but mainly focus on these areas:
The Ship
The Building of the Titanic
The Voyage
Details of the Voyage
The Collision
Why the Titanic collided with the iceberg
The People
Lists of the passengers and crew aboard the Titanic
Below is a list of websites that can be used for finding information
about the Titanic. Just click on one of them and happy sailing.
Hope your voyage goes better than the original voyage.
Brett's
RMS Titanic Page (Brett Newman)
A fairly extensive site about the Titanic that covers
almost everything from beginning to end. It even has information
regarding the most famous passengers aboard the Titanic. The
author of this site Brett Newman; and he is fourteen years old, I might
add.
Titanic
(Encyclopedia Brittanica) This
is a smaller, more condensed site about the Titanic. It covers the where,
when and what of this famous ship.
RMS
Titanic Inc. (Couldn't find) This
is a well designed site that is in three sections. A very good site
for anyone who wants to know much about the ship in detail. Much
of it details the ship's design and her designers.
RMS
Titanic (Chris Nyborg) This
is an absolutely fantastic site about the Titanic. It is the most
complete site I have seen to this date and has received the Teme's Golden
Key Web Page Award in 1998. Whatever you need should be here.
Discover
the R.M.S. Titanic, The Ship of Dreams (Nick Greven)
What a great site if you want some great pictures
of the Titanic. A minor problem with this site is that it takes a
good deal of time for it to load. Still, a nice site with awesome
pictures.
Titanic:
A Voyage of Discovery (Bob Flowers) This
is a very large site with all the usual facts. If you want a lot
of pictures this is a great site , however it takes quite a long time to
load and maneuver around in.
SOS Titanic:
The Death of RMS Titanic (Marvin Gheen)
This is a very complete site about the Titanic.
It has a section about the "Californian", which was the ship that was within
10-15 miles from the Titanic the night she sank. It also has a "Play
Titanic Trivia Game".
Thomas
Andrews: Builder of the Ship of Dreams (M.A. Kibble)
This site is about Thomas Andrews, the man
mostly in charge of the building of the Titanic. It tells how he
was a hero by working tirelessly to save as many people as he could on
board the ship, which he eventually went down with. There is much
more information in this site.
Jonathon's
RMS Titanic Site (Jonathon ?) This
is another good site for pictures. It has all the details you would
expect about the ship, especially about the actual night she sank.
RMS
Titanic, Steinar's Introduction (Steinar D. Varsi)
This site has some interesting things not
usually found in many other sites such as the kinds and amounts of food
on board the ship. It is a smaller site in relation to many sites.
This site is also written in Norweigan as I assume the author is of Norweigan
descent.
